Nearby helps you discover and share events. These terms explain your responsibilities when you use Nearby or post an event. Our Privacy page explains how we handle information.
Using Nearby
You must be 13 or older to use Nearby. If you are under 18, use Nearby with a parent or guardian's permission. Follow each event's age and entry requirements. Keep account details accurate, protect your sign-in, and use the service lawfully.
Events posted by people
Hosts are responsible for accurate dates, locations, prices, age restrictions, availability, and the events they run. Hosts should update or cancel their listing when plans change. Research-sourced listings link to the original organizer; their presence does not mean the organizer has partnered with or endorsed Nearby.
Tickets, prices and attendance
A save, Interested response, or Going response on Nearby does not buy a ticket, reserve a place, or guarantee admission. Prices and availability can change; a plus sign means ticket prices start at the amount shown. Check the organizer's linked page for the final total, fees, entry requirements, cancellations, and refunds. Ticket purchases are handled by the external seller under that seller's terms.
Your content
You keep your rights in the text, photos, videos, and audio you submit. You must own that material or have permission to use it, including permission from people where needed. You give Nearby a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to store, format, and display your submitted content to operate the service and its event-sharing features, consistent with your visibility settings. This permission does not transfer ownership to Nearby or grant blanket permission to use your content in unrelated advertising. You can edit or remove your listing; already shared copies and legally required records may remain.
Music and media
Only upload photos and videos you are allowed to share, including any recorded music. Nearby's selectable music carries the license and attribution shown in the player. Selecting a song does not transfer ownership or imply that the artist endorses the event. Anyone reusing music or media outside Nearby must follow its applicable license.
Respect the community
Do not post misleading events, impersonate another person or organization, harass people, expose private information, infringe intellectual-property rights, send spam, or interfere with the service. We may restrict accounts or remove content that violates these terms. Use the report control on an event to flag a problem.
Copyright
© 2026 Nearby. Rights in Nearby's original materials are reserved. Organizer content, photographs, videos, music, trademarks, and other third-party materials belong to their respective owners and remain subject to their licenses. No ownership of those materials is claimed by Nearby.
To report a suspected copyright issue, use Report on the relevant event. Include the event link, a description of the work, your relationship to its owner, and a way to contact you. Do not include account passwords or other sensitive documents.
Your plans and safety
You choose which events to attend. Use your judgment, confirm arrangements directly with the organizer, and follow venue rules. Nearby does not supervise third-party events.
No guarantees
Nearby is provided as available. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, accurate third-party listings, attendance, or event outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be brought to your attention through the service when appropriate.
